Since its foundation in 1946, Maschinenfabrik Dipl.-Ing. Herwarth Reich GmbH has always been active in the field of power transmission applications. The focus on the production of flexible couplings for general mechanical engineering stems from those early days and finally led to the construction of an in-house manufacturing facility for moulded rubber parts. REICH-KUPPLUNGEN is one of the leading manufacturers for plugin type, highly flexible couplings and offers the largest plugin type rubber disk coupling with a nominal torque of 100000 Nm which corresponds to a drive power of approx. 9000 kW at 1200 r.p.m.

In response to these consistent technical advancements, REICH-KUPPLUNGEN commissioned new and most modern hydraulic presses for the manufacture of its rubber moulded parts at the beginning of this year. These presses which are working according to the transfer principle, have a maximum base of 1200 mm x 1200 mm, a maximum mounting height of 1100 mm and a pressing capacity of 8700 kN. The company is thus in a position to manufacture every conceivable moulded part with external dimensions up to 1000 mm. Thus not only products of the drive engineering but of the universal industry can be manufactured.
